Thanks for a great ride! The trip to the RNC in Minnesota was a once in a lifetime experience and I'll never forget it. I really enjoyed the privilege of sharing part of that journey with you.

Now, it's time to move on. The future looks bright for the Conservative movement. We just need to take a breath, remember who we are and what we believe in, and where we need to be.
Barack Obama won the election and now it's time for Republicans to act like Republicans. Let's put our country first; support President-elect Obama and look to the future. He and the Country we love so much will need our prayers and our hard work.
Thanks again for tuning in. God Bless and we'll be back soon!
John McCain gave the speech of his life at the Convention and his life experience will make him our next GREAT President.
I have to admit, there were things about John & Cindy McCain that I didn't know until that night. Cindy McCain has worked with disadvantaged children for decades. She flys airplanes and races cars and she raised a Marine! John's story is so profound and touching that there wasn't a dry eye in the Xcel Center as he spoke from the heart about being tortured to the breaking point. I'm not a good enough writer to do his story justice.
Sarah Palin is a shining star and a hero in her own right. Every day, we work hard and sacrifice for others so that American families are safe, secure and stay together. Palin's family is an outstanding example of what an American Family is and should be. Who wouldn't want to be a part of the life that the Palin's have created.
The Republican Party is the party of values, morals, love of God and country and our fellow man. The real campaigning begins now and it's going to be a dog fight. It's a good thing we have a pit bull!
I got to talk to former Montana Senator Conrad Burns Thursday night. He's a great story teller and a great American. I haven't seen the Tonight Show comic piece I was in that aired Thursday night. I hope it's not to embarrassing. It was truly an honor to make history on the convention floor. I'm very excited and energized about the campaign. I'll have to finish this report later. Got to catch the plane.
Sarah Palin's our gal and John McCain's our guy!
Palin rocked the house at the national convention. She took on the media and the democrats and served notice that in a dog fight, you better be a pitbull! We knew about Sarah Palin when we got to the convention, but today, we know Sarah Palin. The Republican party is chalked full of strong, conservate women and Palin is at the top. We heard from other strong women as well yesterday including Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle. Like Palin, Lingle was a mayor (of Maui) before being elected governor and faced some of the same criticism as Palin.
As for me, I've done so many interviews that I've lost track. I talked with a Croation TV reporter who asked about Palin's family. I told her that all families have issues, teenagers will be teenagers, and I'm so glad to live in a country where Sarah Palin and Barack Obama can be on the ticket. A reporter from USA today asked if I thought Palin answered all the questions concerning her 'family problems' and if those questions would die down now. I told him that I should be asking him that question because it's the media that started that in the first place.
Tonight is John McCain's night. He'll have to work hard to top what we experinced last night. It was absolutely electric. My hands are sore from clapping and my throught is sore from hollering! One of the best moments of the night last night was when Palin said she wasn't going to Washington to make the media happy. She received an extended standing ovation as the delegation chided the media along with her. More later.
How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, and which no other people on earth enjoy - Thomas Jefferson

OUR UNITY IS OUR STRENGTH !

Russ Duerstine, Senator John Cornyn & Yantis Green, San Angelo 14Aug2008.
With Sarah Palin & John McCain let's tell the Nation that Republicans will:
*End unacceptably high fuel prices by ending our dependence on foreign oil. Drill here, refine here, and promote private development of alternative energies here.
*Defeat global terrorism by winning in Iraq & Afghanistan.
*End illegal immigration by enforcing our borders, supporting legal immigration and providing the workforce necessary for the economy
*Protect the Bill of Rights' guarantee to keep and bear arms, freedom of religion & speech and enforce the rights reserved to the States.
*End Abortion by overturning Roe v. Wade
*End gay marriage by Constitutional Amendment
*Appoint judges at every level who will not legislate from the bench
*Promote private health care initiatives & solutions without a government takeover
*Demand a balanced Federal Budget
*Promote free market initiatives in the global economy which create and retain jobs for Americans.
If you agree, please email me so I can add your voice to ours at the RNC.
"Democracy is hard, and it should be. Self government is tough and it should be. Freedom requires intense, passionate debate and constant participation. This toughest form of government demands vigilance and its rewards are the American Dream - life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." - Yantis Green
